TIGER BILLS SHORT FILM BURSARY

A unique opportunity for a local filmmaker to create, develop and produce a short film for commercial promotional activity within the food and drink sector.

A sum of £500 cash as well as in-kind support through equipment hire and editing facilities is available.

Aim: to produce a non-controversial short film to promote Tiger Bills and encourage development into new media through film production for the commercial market. Ideally the promotion will use web, email and mobile technologies as its platform - specifically My Space; Facebook; Youtube; Mobile phones; email; DVD; Cinema. It needs to run with and/or without sound.

Target audience: General public, business sector, families.

Concept requirements: Innovative, commercially viable and suitable for the chosen platform is required. Filming at the venue can be arranged by appointment only. Final piece must be no more than 1 minute running time with an edited version of 30 seconds running time. All audio and imagery must be copyright free and full distribution rights will be retained by Tiger Bills, Exeter Phoenix and the chosen filmmaker will retain copyright.

The artistic freedom you have with this project is limitless. We very much wants to allow you to express your unique style and formatting. However, it does need to be linked to Tiger Bills in some way – whether that is direct, abstract or implied. The logo would have to be incorporated in some way – again this is up to you... It could be a phrase...

The titles are here as guidance of the ways in which the thought process could work, ie, not saying ‘food cooked in a wok’, rather, ‘wok on earth is going on’. Almost to create tabloid straplines that could become synonymous with Tiger Bills in future branding.

Film titles: Food for Thought. Put a Tiger in Your Tank. Wok on Earth is Going on. Wok Rocks.

Deadline for submissions of storyboards and concepts to reach us by 30 April 2008. Project to be completed by 14 September 2008. The winner will be notified by 7 May 2008.
